How does a flea appear? – Features
Wings: they have no wings and cannot fly.
Body: they have a flat and thin body, covered with tiny microscopic hair.
Length: Mature fleas are 2.5mm in length approximately.
Jump: They may not be able to fly, but they have a well adapted hind legs used to jump on hosts. They have six in total.
Color: they are reddish brown or black.
Mouth parts: their mouth parts are adapted puncture the skin of their host.
You might need to use a chemical to eradicate fleas as they are difficult to kill manually. They prefer to burrow into animal fur because animals are warm and covered in fur.
